Power Teeth Whitening System

Advantages of Power Teeth Whitening System

Power teeth whitening system or better known as laser teeth whitening is one of the most advanced methods of dental bleaching. It is usually performed by a dentist by applying a bleaching solution that contains hydrogen peroxide to the teeth of the patient. Before doing so, the dentist will put a protective instrument over the gums, which are made of rubber or a special strip, to protect the gums from contact with the hydrogen peroxide bleaching solution.

The bleaching solution can cause gum ulcers or other gum irritations. After the solution is applied to the teeth, the dentist will target the teeth with a beam of laser. When the laser light hits the teeth, the bleaching solution will be activated causing the hydrogen peroxide to react and whiten the teeth.

Normally, a power teeth whitening system treatment takes about 60 to 90 minutes depending on the condition of the patient's teeth. Results are usually visible immediately after the treatment. However, if the stains of the teeth are severe, repeated treatments are required. Power teeth whitening system can make teeth at least six shades whiter. It is a lot more effective than over-the-counter (OTC) teeth whitening kits, which may be cheaper but pose higher risks of gum infections or irritations.

These gum irritations happen when the bleaching solution comes in contact with the gums, which results from improper fitting of standard-sized mouthpiece trays included in OTC teeth whitening kits. In addition, most of these over-the-counter bleaching kits do not have the American Dental Association (ADA) seal of acceptance. Due to their risks, dentists advise caution in choosing and using at-home teeth whitening products or procedures.

There are many advantages in using the power teeth whitening system. This latest dental technology offers to whiten teeth six shades lighter than other methods of teeth bleaching.
Moreover, it is proven safe and has no side effects - no gum irritations and not even teeth sensitivity, which is the usual side effect in many other teeth bleaching methods. The power teeth whitening system is a fast treatment with immediate visible results. Needless to say, one has to make sure that the treatment will be performed by a licensed dentist.

The power teeth whitening system is considered as the most sophisticated, easiest, most efficient and safest process of dental whitening available today but this procedure only works on people with natural teeth. Power teeth whitening system will not work on false teeth, dentures, jackets and crowns. To have better understanding about the power teeth whitening procedure and if it will work for you, consult a licensed dentist near your area.
